NCS EXPANDS STAFF WITH INTERNATIONAL EXPERTISE
Pittsburgh
,
Pennsylvania
March 2008 NCS, a leader in translation services, has expanded
their staff with the addition of Marylène Carney. A native Belgian fluent in both French and English,
Carney brings a strong world view and decades of experience in project management to NCS’
growing list of clients.
Carney comes to NCS from Lionbridge, and she has worked for several of the largest translation
companies over the past twenty years. In that time, she has seen the translation industry go through
enormous consolidation and automation as a result of business globalization. And this, according to
Carney hasn’t always served the customer well. “I’ve worked at numerous larger translation
providers, and I’ve seen too many people wasting time worrying about the next merger or acquisition,
or the newest technological widget, instead of focusing on the key concern, which is helping the
customer. I joined NCS because they focus on the customer. I feel like I’m getting back to the
real business of translation.”
NCS principal Charlene Nagy concurs. “At the end of the day, we are all in the customer service
business. And for the twenty years I have known her, I have admired Marylène as one of the best,
most customer-focused people in the business. We worked together when she was just starting out
in this business, and now we are delighted to have her back as a member of our team.”
